2023 KTM 200 Duke updated with New LED Headlight

By Biketoq Editor

New Delhi, India – Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has unveiled the updated 200 Duke model featuring a state-of-the-art full-LED headlight. Priced at Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the revamped KTM 200 Duke aims to enhance the biking experience with its improved lighting system.

The 2023 edition of the KTM 200 Duke showcases a significant change in the form of a new full-LED headlight setup, borrowed from its sibling, the 390 Duke. This upgrade necessitated a price increase of Rs 3,000 compared to the non-LED version.

The new headlamp unit on the 200 Duke boasts an array of 32 LEDs and 6 reflectors designed to optimize the beam’s intensity. Additionally, an LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) unit has been incorporated into the setup. With this enhancement, the 200cc bike aligns with the design aesthetic of the Duke lineup.

Apart from the introduction of the LED headlight, the updated 200 Duke retains its mechanical and cosmetic features from the previous non-LED variant. Two color options, namely Electronic Orange and Dark Silver Metallic, are available for riders to choose from.

Powering the 2023 KTM 200 Duke is a reliable 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder engine. This robust powertrain produces 24.67bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 19.2Nm at 8,000rpm. Mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the engine delivers a thrilling riding experience.

The 200 Duke showcases a split steel trellis frame, complemented by USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock, both supplied by WP. Notable features include an aluminium swingarm and an underbelly exhaust system.

Equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, the 200 Duke sports 110/70 (front) and 150/60 (rear) tires for optimal grip on the road. Braking duties are managed by a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm rotor at the rear, accompanied by Bybre calipers – a 4-piston setup at the front and a single-piston setup at the rear. Dual-channel ABS provides additional safety measures.

With the launch of the updated 200 Duke, KTM aims to cater to motorcycle enthusiasts seeking improved lighting performance and a sleek design. This latest offering combines the thrill of riding with the cutting-edge technology synonymous with the KTM brand.
