2024 Bajaj Chetak electric launched

By Biketoq Editor

Bajaj Auto has revitalized its electric scooter lineup with the launch of the updated 2024 Chetak Premium and Urbane variants, bringing a blend of enhanced performance and innovative features to the Indian market. The Chetak Premium is priced at Rs. 1,35,463, while the more economical Urbane variant comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,15,001, both ex-showroom.

The highlight of the Chetak Premium is the introduction of a new five-inch TFT screen, which not only elevates the rider’s experience but also integrates seamlessly with various smart functionalities. In a significant upgrade, the top speed of the Chetak Premium now reaches 73kmph, and it boasts an impressive maximum range of 127km, thanks to the new 3.2kWh battery pack. This range is a substantial improvement over the previous models, ensuring longer rides with fewer charging interruptions.

In a move towards greater convenience, Bajaj has equipped the Premium variant with an 800W onboard charger. This feature remarkably enables the scooter to gain a range of 15.6 km in just 30 minutes of charging. The Premium model also introduces self-cancelling blinkers, electronic handle lock, and a switch for seat opening, enhancing both safety and convenience. Additionally, the boot space has been expanded, making the Chetak more practical for daily use.

A noteworthy aspect of the Chetak Premium is the optional TecPac package. This package includes several advanced features like turn-by-turn navigation, onscreen music controls, call alerts, hill hold control, and a reverse mode. It also allows riders to personalize the theme of the display. Interestingly, these features are not exclusive to the Premium variant; customers opting for the Urbane variant can also enjoy these advancements by choosing the TecPac package. Notably, this package also increases the top speed of the Urbane variant from 63kmph to 73kmph, bringing it on par with the Premium model.

For those looking for aesthetic options, the 2024 Bajaj Chetak Premium will be available in three color choices – Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, and Hazelnut. The Urbane trim, on the other hand, offers four color options, including Coarse Grey, Cyber White, Brooklyn Black, and Indigo Metallic Blue.

With these updates, Bajaj Auto aims to strengthen its position in the electric two-wheeler segment, offering consumers a blend of enhanced performance, smart connectivity, and practical features.
