The Hyderabad-based electric two-wheeler manufacturing startup Pure EV has become the newest EV automaker to dip its feet in the electric motorcycle segment. The company recently launched its newest product the eTryst 350 all-electric motorcycle at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 154,999 across India. The company claims that its flagship motorbike was entirely created, developed, and produced in India as part of the “Make in India” project. The Etryst 350 was conceived and built in Pure EV’s Hyderabad technology research and production centre.

Speaking on the launch of the company’s newest product, Rohit Vadera, Chief Executive Officer of Pure EV, said, “The launch of this high-performance motorcycle would be a demonstration of PURE EV’s significant learnings in the powertrain design and development at our R&D centre. We are confident that the product will deliver a highly competitive performance with respect to the existing range of 150 cc premium ICE motorcycles.”

He further added, “We are launching the model in metros and Tier 1 cities first before gradually expanding the offering at all outlets pan India. The motorcycle is launched at an entry price point for the experience of a premium electric motorcycle.”

According to the Pure EV, the bike has a top speed of 85 km/h and a riding quality comparable to most internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles. The range is 140 kilometres on a single full charge and it is powered by a 3.5 KWH proprietary Pure EV battery that is AIS 156 approved and was created in-house. The entire product has been engineered to give a highly stable ride experience even at speeds of up to 85 km/h, as well as pick-up and torque comparable to premium ICE bikes.

Furthermore, as per the manufacturer, the battery, which is built to function in adverse climatic circumstances, is what makes this motorbike special. The in-house built battery will be covered by a five year/50,000 km guarantee from Pure EV. Any Indian terrain can be easily tackled by the Etryst 350. It will be available for purchase in towns and cities and may be used for daily commutes.

With its newest offering, the company hopes to especially appeal to the nation’s young as well as those looking for a high-performance electric motorbike at an affordable price. In addition to having a network of over 100 premium Dealership locations throughout India, Pure EV is constantly growing its presence in the country’s most important cities and towns.

The PURE acronym stands for Power Using Renewable Energy. Under the trade names “PURE EV” and “PURE Lithium,” the company produces high-performance lithium batteries as well as electric scooters and motorbikes. The startup has built a specialised EV and battery production facility that is over 1 lakh square feet in size. It also has a specialised R&D centre for EV powertrain development and testing. One of the top EV2W brands in India right now, PURE also holds a commanding position in exports to South Asian nations like Nepal and Bhutan! The company’s main goals are to create items that the general public adores and to establish a solid reputation in the EV market.
