TVS Motor invests in ION Mobility, Singapore

TVS Motor Company has joined forces with Singapore-based ION Mobility, an electric motorcycle start-up. TVS will support ION to help them succeed in the electric two-wheeler markets of Singapore and Indonesia.

ION’s first product is the M1-S maxi-style scooter, boasting a range of 150km and a two-hour charging time. The scooter also features a seven-inch color display, keyless operations, and 26 liters of under-seat storage.

TVS retails the iQube electric scooter in India, with a range of 145km and a top speed of 82kmph. It takes 5 hours to charge the battery from 0-80%.

TVS has recently started operations in Singapore and is retailing its Apache line-up from its showroom there. This partnership with ION Mobility is a strategic move for TVS to expand globally.
